Michael Fletcher
I discovered Michael Fletcher through a Facebook recommendation. I added him to my Friends List and not long after found a message from him in my Facebook inbox. A short dialogue erupted and I soon learned he was a business coach and founder of Neworld Business Coaching.
He kindly offered me a free one-on-one coaching session via Skype, since it was free and he seemed genuine I figured I didn’t have much to lose. There was a 15 hour time difference between us but his lovely assistant Dawn was able to arrange a suitable time without too much fuss.
I must say, during the one hour I spent talking with him, Michael managed to pack a phenomenal amount of value! Needless to say I took notes!
First he went through common marketing strategies like adding a blog to your website or establishing a newsletter and building a database of prospects. Then he covered the more creative strategies like holding a contest where your prospects nominate really bad examples in your specific niece and worse example wins a trial of your products or service, to arranging a talk show with your local radio station in which you share your expertise in exchange for a plug.
But the value didn’t stop there! A couple of days later Dawn sent me a follow-up Email which included a 3 year success planner, a guide explaining 50 different shameless promotions techniques, a guide for using Facebook as a marketing tool and links to several other websites that take your Internet marketing to a whole new level.
How awesome! It’s going to take me a couple of months to implement some of the strategies but let me tell you, his coaching session left me feeling inspired and I’ve had dozens of my own ideas ever since. He also offered to follow-up on my progress at some point down the future with another one-on-one session. So after I’ve implanted a few of his ideas I’ll have to do just that!
Now you might be thinking surely there’s a catch here? How can somebody afford to give so much? Well let me assure you, he DIDN’T ask me to subscribe to a program, seminar or even a mailing list, nor did he attempt to sell me a homestudy course or any other information product.
He did however explain his love of talking to people from all around the world and how he affords to give free one-on-one coaching sessions – through selling advertising space in his newsletter. He even gave suggestions how I could do something similar with my own websites.
Because of his generosity I asked what I could do for him, he simply replied just spread the word about what he does. So here I am, writing an entire blog entry about my experience and in case you haven’t noticed, I’m very pleased with the experience!
